The Founder's Story: Mrs. Savita Sharma
A Mother’s Vision, A Community’s Hope Every great movement starts with a single observation. For Mrs. Savita Sharma, it was the realization that true community strength begins with its most vulnerable members: women and children. Witnessing the struggles of orphaned children lacking basic nutrition and education, alongside women trapped in cycles of dependency and vulnerability to crime, she knew she could not simply stand by. The Turning Point The catalyst for change did not happen in a boardroom; it happened in a bustling Jaipur market. One evening, Mrs. Sharma noticed a young, ragged child scavenging for food near a tea stall. Her immediate reaction was a mother's instinct: she bought the child a hot meal. But as she watched him eat, a harsh realization settled in. She could feed him today, but who would feed him tomorrow? Upon learning more about the child’s background, she discovered his mother was trapped in an abusive, vulnerable household, entirely dependent on her abuser and unable to protect her child. In that moment, the pieces fell into place. Mrs. Sharma realized that to permanently save a child, you must empower the mother. You cannot fight the crime of exploitation without providing financial independence as a shield. That single, temporary meal sparked a lifelong mission to build permanent havens of support. Building the Foundation Armed with a mother’s compassion and a fierce sense of justice, Mrs. Savita Sharma founded the Humari Khushi Welfare Foundation. What started as a personal mission to feed orphaned children quickly grew into a comprehensive ecosystem of support. She expanded the vision to ensure that rescuing a child also meant empowering the women around them. By providing vocational training, legal advocacy, and educational sponsorships, the foundation began addressing the root causes of inequality. Our Mission Today Today, Mrs. Sharma’s vision continues to drive every initiative at the Humari Khushi Welfare Foundation. She leads a dedicated team committed to the belief that every woman deserves financial independence, every orphan deserves a seat in a classroom, and every citizen deserves a life free from crime and exploitation. "When you educate a child and empower a woman, you do not just change a life—you change the future of an entire community." — Mrs. Savita Sharma, Founder, Humari Khushi Welfare Foundation
